The Duggan Library has been a part of the Federal Depository Library
Program since 1892. We hold many historical and current documents
of the United States government. We currently collect approximately
20% of all government publications.
Government publications come in a variety of formats. The Duggan
Library government documents collection is comprised of print, microfiche,
and electronic formats. Though we have many government documents
for research and general information purposes, the majority of our
collection is not cataloged. The online catalog contains government
information recieved since 2000. Additonally, the Government Printing
Office has been increasing the number of electronic publications
it produces. Therefore, you may want to begin your search in the
online catalog for the most up-to-date information.
The Duggan Library is a selective government depository.
This means that we choose the items we feel our users will access
the most. However, we do focus on several selected topics. The General
areas that we collect:
-
Census
-
Education
-
Health
-
Geology
-
Justice Department
-
Labor and employment
-
Legislation and Law
-
Social Security
-
Taxation
If the Duggan Library does not have the document you want, we can
get it for you through Interlibrary Loan.
