Submitting Course Syllabi to the Library
Each faculty member must submit three (3) paper copies of each
of their course syllabi to the Duggan Library. Since we cannot support
the archiving and preservation of electronic copies at this time,
we ask that you print out paper copies of your web page syllabi.
Please direct all copies to Doug Denne, Archives Assistant.
Where do the copies of the syllabi go?
We archive these syllabi for future reference for the college
community. The syllabi that you give us go to three different
places. We send one copy to the academic dean's office. Another
copy stays at the Circulation Desk on reserve for students or
faculty to check out and copy. The last copy is sent to the
Archives. At the end of the year, the copy at the Circulation
Desk also goes into the Archives.
Who can get copies of the archived syllabi?
Anyone can have a copy of a syllabus. Former Hanover students
often request copies of a syllabus when they transfer to another
school or when they enter graduate school. Faculty use syllabi
when they are teaching a new course, or when they are preparing
for review. Outside agencies such as NCATE or other accreditation
groups also request copies of syllabi.
How do I get a copy of a syllabus?
If you would like a copy of a syllabus, please call Doug Denne
at x7182 or email at denne@hanover.edu.
It usually takes 24 hours to process a request. Please include
the course number, term, and year for each request.
